The Foundation Máximo Soriano Jiménez, supports research and activities addressed to advancement of knowledge in Infectious Diseases and AIDS.
Since its creation, the Foundation Board has given support to research projects in the field of Infectious Diseases and AIDS which have been developed in Spain and in other country’s. Such projects have generated the publication of more than 400 scientific papers, 72 % of them in international press, and contributions in about 50 medical books related to these subjects. In addition, the Board has given grants for the training in Infectious Diseases and has donated more than 400 specific economic aids for research in the field.
Maximo Soriano Foundation also co-sponsors the AIDS Master's Degree of the University of Barcelona (since 1991).
